We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Leading Hand or Carpenter to work on high end custom home builder/ residential construction company based in Sydney’s inner west region. 

This role would suit a leading hand or carpenter who is looking to progress into a site foreman role. 

What’s on Offer

• Work with a well established construction company, specialising in high end residential projects.
• Salary guide $110k – $130k + super – based on experience
• Permanent, full-time position 

Duties include:

• Managing and coordinating day labour and  subcontractors.
• Keeping accurate records, e.g. timesheets, work variations etc.  
• Ensure that all material and equipment is on site in time and suitable to the projects requirements. 
• Maintain professional relationships with labourers and subcontractors.
• Attend toolbox meetings
• Maintain site registers, diaries including progression photos. As well as timesheets. 
• Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with current standards & codes.
• Maintaining safety records and safety documentation.

Experience:

• Experience in managing sites (ideally, custom homes)
• Ability to read and understand drawings and documentation.
• Local Australian experience is essential
• Knowledge of Australian building standards
• Construction Industry Induction cardholder
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail. 
• Ability to achieve results within schedule.
• Proactive in bettering site safety standards.
